I haven't heard much about the Gamergate scandal, but what I read featured people threatening to kill others because they have differing opinions or don't like a certain game someone else does. This got me angry and decided to speak out a little about Gamergate in general.
*-It you have an opinion on something, either say it or, if you don't want to say something in fear of being ostracized, keep it to yourself.
*-DO NOT, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THINGS SANE, THREATEN TO KILL ANYONE. That is fucking sick, horrible and downright nauseating. It's one thing to disagree with someone over even the most obscure things in gaming, but saying "I will kill you" of any variation to anyone is not okay.
*-Snapping at women for having a place in gaming, just because they have tits and a vagina is extremely sexist and makes you all like disgusting horny idiots. It's just like The Fappening, except pictures are replaced with words, and it's just as cruel and demeaning. But this time, no woman is at fault; they're just doing their jobs and do not deserve what has been coming to them.
*-The men who made this happen needs a good kick in the ass and message on how to make an intelligent conversation on gaming and what to do in it. If the second thing doesn't work, they need another good kick in the ass and a really good kick in the nuts. This is a damn shame and an embarrassment, not only to the video game industry, but also to mankind as well.
*-This entire Gamergate thing has gotten out of control and needs to stop. Not soon, but now. We already have bigger shit to deal with in this world, and this should not be another.
